SSCCSE in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement

Articles 1.8.1 and 1.8.2 of the CPA mandate the planning and execution of a population census throughout the Sudan to be completed by the Second Year of the Interim period. The executing bodies for the conduct of the census are the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) and the Southern Sudan Centre for Census, Statistics and Evaluation.
