Job Title: Network Officer

Reports to: Information Technology Officer
Job Summary
This position requires a network specialist who will support day-to-day operations as well as focus on internet troubleshooting and network modifications within the SSCCSE’s head and state offices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a network infrastructure which will support connectivity for all staff and applications by network, file, and application servers
- Design, implement, and support an overall intranet infrastructure supporting internal and external web-based computing requirements
- Perform internet troubleshooting as necessary
- Design and implement specific network modifications depending on individual state office needs
- Ensure regular backup of data for allSSCCSE computers andmanage safe backup files storage
- Ensure updated protection of all IT systems against viruses,uninvited intrusions, and other threats to hardware, software, and data integrity
- Work with Public Relations personnel to further develop and maintain the Centre’s website
- Keep abreast of technology changes as related to data and voice communications
- Research new software, updates, and configurations
- >Provide technical support to SSCCSE employees
- Responsible for administrative duties dealing with user accounts on data systems
- Implement projects as assigned in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor software and hardware logs
- Work with the software development/maintenance specialist to implement and support all network-related aspects when new applications are being installed
- Provide internal training to users on end systems or applications as needed
Qualifications
- Equivalent of two year’s formal training in Computer Science or another related field
- Must have prior hands-on experience with network development, monitoring, and maintenance
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills
